Michigan Inland Lakes Fishing Report
The perch fishing on Muskegon Lake has been pretty good when the wind stops blowing and we can get out there. Its that time when the walleye action around the Muskegon pier starts to heat up. Trolling stick baits in the evening is the best. If anyone is interested in trying for a mess of perch on Muskegon Lake or Walleyes around the pier heads in Lake Michigan, we have trips open.

Most inland lakes in our area are still ice cover but the ice is disappearing very quickly. Hopefully we will be able to get boats on Muskegon Lake and chase a few perch by next week.

Well the our ice fishing trips were a bust for the second year in a row as there was no safe ice to run a single trip. There are a few guys out on Muskegon Lake but the ice is spotty at best. The east end of Muskegon Lake is still wide open water. We may run a few perch trips in the boat as soon as all the ice is gone, so if you are interested in an open water perch trip please contact us.

Muskegon Lake still does not have safe ice. There are guys that are getting out there but there is only 2-3" of ice in most spots and less then that in some. With all the snow that has the ice covered and another big snow storm rolling in today, I am starting to have my doubts that we will be running any perch trips again this season on Muskegon Lake. The Pike fishing has been good on many of the inland lakes with safe ice.

The ice on Muskegon Lake is NOT safe and it is starting to look like we may not have a icefishing season again this year. Keep checking back, I'll keep the conditions updated.

Well we finally have safe ice on many small inland lakes in the area and the Bluegill and pike fishing has been good. We are keeping our fingers cross Muskegon Lake freezes up soon so we can get out and chase the nice perch we were catching this fall out of boats. We started to get some relly nice 9-13" perch the last few days we were out before the launches iced in. If you are looking to get out now for gills' or pike give us a call today.**********We have bought a new Snowmobile and ATV this season as well as new Otter ice tents.
