All our area Rivers are blown out with really high water and by the looks of the weather we have coming they will be shut down for a week or so.

The fishing continues to be tough on the Muskegon River. As of today the ice is finally gone on Muskegon Lake and with rain in the forecast we should start seeing a fresh batch of steelhead showing up in the next few days.

At this time all the area rivers are un- fishable due to the water being high and dirty. Look for the steelhead fishing to be great as soon as the water resides.

2/25/2014 - Lake Michigan Fishing Report

We have purchased a new charter boat for this season! The new boat is a 31' Tiara sportfisherman open. We will also continue to run our 28' Sea Ray to accommodate multiple boat trips. We are starting off the Lake Michigan season early this year starting with Coho salmon trips, mid April in the port of St. Joseph. 2/25/2014 - Muskegon River Fishing Report

The Muskegon river is still locked up pretty tight with ice from Newaygo down stream. From there up the fishing has been good on most days. If you are looking to book a trip you may want to think about getting out on the river in the next few weeks to avoid the spring traffic and cure that cabin fevor.

Due to the spotty perch fishing on Muskegon lake and the heavy snow/slush pack that has made Muskegon Lake un-fishable, we are relocating the remainder of our ice fishing trips this season to the Traverse City, MI Area. We are working closely with Sport Fish Michigan on these trips and these boys have the smelt, perch, walleye, Pike and Lake Trout pinned down on the area lakes. For more info and booking please visit

The Perch fishing has been outstanding on some days and much slower on others. We have been moving around the lake to try to stay on the fish. We still have openings so if your looking to try your hand at perch fishing, give us a call.

The Perch have moved into Muskegon Lake and we are catching some really nice fish 9-12" lets hope they continue to bite and we good safe ice this year.
